종이접기+3D프린팅으로 태양전지 집적도를 높이다(2019.11)[1]

  • 고민재 교수, 한국과학기술연구원(KIST) 광전하이브리드연구센터 이필립 박사, 조만식 박사 공동 연구팀이 종이접기 기술*(오리가미, 키리가미)을 적용해 집적도와 신축성을 동시에 높인 페로브스카이트** 태양전지 모듈을 개발하였다.
  • 해당 고 신축성·전도성 플랫폼 기술은 태양전지 외에도 에너지 소자, 센서, 액츄에이터 등 다양한 전자 소자에 적용이 용이하며, 3차원 설계에 따른 다양한 소자의 성능 향상을 기대할 수 있다.
  • 연구팀의 모듈은 기존 신축성 소자와 비교해 100%에 가까운 집적도 및 시스템 신축성을 동시에 달성했다는 점에서 큰 의미를 가진다고 평가받는다.
  • 이번 연구결과는 나노 분야 미국화학회 학술지인 ‘ACS Nano’ (IF: 13.903, JCR 분야 상위 5.74%,10월 4일자)에 게재되었다.

‘태양전지·태양광 물분해 효율 향상’ 양자점 흡착 신기술 개발(2018.03) [2] [3]

  • 고민재 교수는 호서대 김재엽 교수 연구팀 및 UNIST 이재성 교수 연구팀과 공동으로 황화납·황화카드뮴 양자점 흡착 신기술을 개발, 태양전지 및 태양광 물 분해에 의한 수소생산 효율을 크게 향상하는 데 성공했다.
  • 이번 연구를 통해 금속산화물 전극을 염기성 용액으로 전처리하면 황화납 양자점 흡착량이 증가한다는 사실도 확인했다. 이 기술을 적용해 제작한 광전극을 양자점 감응 태양전지에 적용했을 때 광변환 효율이 기존 대비 33%가량 증가한 것으로 나타났다고 전했다. 그뿐만 아니라, 태양광 물 분해에 의한 수소 생산에 적용 시 세계 최고 수준인 22.1밀리암페어 광전류 값을 기록했다고 밝혔다.
  • 본 연구 결과는 세계적인 학술저널인 ‘어플라이드 카탈리시스 B : 환경’ 온라인판에 'Highly loaded PbS/Mn-doped CdS quantum dots for dual application in solar-to-electrical and solar-to-chemical energy conversion'이라는 제목으로 게재됐다.
